Movers Best (“Movers Best,” “we,” “us”) is a licensed California moving company headquartered at 3001 Red Hill Ave, STE 6-207, Costa Mesa, CA 92626 (USDOT 2930691, CA 501283, CAL-T 0191561). This policy explains what information we collect when you use movers.best, call or text us, or book a move with us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request pricing, book a move, or contact us, we collect what you provide: your name, phone number, email address, origin and destination addresses, move date, home size, an inventory of what you are moving, photos you send us, payment details for booking, and anything you tell us on a call, by text, by email, or through a form on this site.
Calls and messages. Calls to and from Movers Best may be recorded and transcribed for quality, training, and record-keeping. Text messages you exchange with us are stored with your move record.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect device and usage data through cookies and similar tools: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and the campaign or ad that brought you here (including UTM parameters). We use Google Analytics and Google Ads tools for this.
Information from others. We may receive your contact details from a referral partner (for example a real estate agent or property manager), from a lead service you used to request movers, or from a public review you left about us.
How we use information
- To plan, price, schedule, and perform your move, including dispatching a crew and coordinating with buildings and property managers
- To communicate with you about your move by phone, text, and email
- To process payments, handle claims, and keep the records California law requires licensed movers to keep
- To ask for feedback or a review after your move
- To send marketing about our services, where you have agreed to it; you can opt out at any time
- To run, secure, and improve this website, and to measure our advertising
- To comply with law and protect our rights, our customers, and our crews
Text messaging (SMS) consent
When you check the consent box on a form or otherwise agree to receive texts from Movers Best, you agree to receive text messages about your move: pricing, scheduling, confirmations, crew arrival updates, and follow-ups. Message frequency varies with your move. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out and HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of booking with us. Mobile phone numbers and text-message opt-in data are never shared with or sold to third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to serve you and run the business:
- Service providers that work on our behalf under contract: our moving and dispatch software, phone and texting platform, email service, payment processor, website hosting, analytics and advertising tools (including Google), and the service that displays our public reviews on this site
- Crews and partner carriers assigned to your move, who receive only what they need to do the job (name, addresses, phone, inventory)
- Buildings and property managers when they require certificates of insurance or move details for access
- Legal and safety reasons, such as responding to lawful requests, enforcing our agreements, or handling a claim
- A business transfer, if Movers Best is ever sold or merged, in which case this policy would continue to apply
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and Google Ads (including Local Services Ads) to measure and improve our advertising, which can include showing you our ads on other sites after you visit ours. You can control cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google’s ad personalization at adssettings.google.com, and install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where the law requires it.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share; to request a copy of it; to ask us to correct or delete it; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share it for cross-context advertising in the sense of California law); and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. To make a request, email sales@movers.best or call (855) 448-9844. We will verify your identity using the contact details on your move record before responding, and we will respond within the time California law allows. You can authorize someone to make a request for you; we will ask for proof of that authorization.
How long we keep information
We keep move records for as long as California and federal rules require licensed movers to keep them, and marketing contact details until you opt out or ask us to delete them. Website analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the tools we use, then deleted or anonymized.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections to this site and access limits within our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our services and this website are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The effective date at the top tells you when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page.
