What makes moving in Anaheim different
Which Anaheim are you moving in?
Everyone knows Anaheim for one thing. Live here a while and you learn it's really five towns sharing a name. The Colony is the old heart, craftsman bungalows that have stood for a century on streets where parking is limited to two hours; a longer move needs a temporary no-parking permit from the city, and we arrange it, since it takes a couple of days of lead time. The Platinum Triangle went vertical between Angel Stadium and the Honda Center, lofts and high-rise apartments where the building runs the show. Anaheim Hills climbs east into the canyons. Some of those driveways are steep enough that the truck stays on the street and we shuttle the load up, which sounds dramatic and is actually just Tuesday for our crews. West Anaheim is the opposite: flat, wide, quick to the freeway, and honestly our smoothest zone in the city; jobs there tend to come in under the estimate. And then there's the Resort District, which lives on Disneyland's clock whether it wants to or not.
Game days, park traffic, and convention season
Here's the thing about moving in Anaheim: the calendar matters more than the map. On Angels home dates and Ducks nights, the Platinum Triangle flips to paid-lot-only and Katella jams solid two hours before first pitch. Harbor Boulevard between Ball and Katella slows to walking pace when the parks open and again when they close. The Convention Center runs a couple hundred events a year, and the big ones push overflow parking into every street south of Katella. Right now there's one more layer: the 100-acre OCVIBE district is under construction around the Honda Center through the end of the decade, so construction traffic shares Katella with everybody else until the first phase opens. None of this is a reason to dread your move. It's a reason to book with people who check the schedules first. We look at the Angels, Ducks, and convention calendars when you book, flag any conflict on your confirmation, and steer you to an early start or a cleaner day.
When is the best time to move in Anaheim?
A weekday morning, Tuesday through Thursday, somewhere mid-month. Monday through Thursday also gets our discounted weekday rate, which is the easiest money you'll save on the whole move. July deserves its own warning: summer demand stacks on top of families racing to land in the Anaheim Hills school zone before fall enrollment paperwork closes, so a July move in the Hills should be booked three to five weeks out. October through February is the quiet season, and between us, it's the best time to move anywhere in this city. One more thing worth knowing: California's Double Drive Time rule counts the drive between your two addresses twice when it runs over 15 minutes. Plenty of Anaheim moves stay under that line. When one doesn't, we calculate it honestly and tell you before you book, not after.
What else should Anaheim movers know?
Start with schools, because Anaheim's setup genuinely surprises people. There's no single Anaheim district. Elementary kids and high schoolers are in two separate systems, and Anaheim Hills belongs to Orange Unified, which feeds Canyon High and is a big part of why families chase those hillside addresses in the first place. Adjacent streets can feed different schools, so verify your exact address with the district locator before you sign anything, including with us; we build a school-locator check into the move checklist for families. Heavy items follow our photo-first process: pianos, safes, and stone get a safe-sized crew, extra-heavy handling by weight class on your written quote, and Fleet Manager sign-off on the riskiest jobs. Our crews would add that upright pianos turn up in Hills homes constantly and Pelotons rule the Triangle lofts. Leaving Orange County altogether? Our long-distance trucks run the routes Anaheim actually moves on, Vegas, Phoenix, the Bay Area, Portland, with straight delivery and a video estimate to start. And we're close. Our headquarters is in Irvine, a short run down the 5, and our crews work Anaheim every single week.

What do Anaheim movers cost?
Local moves are billed by the hour at one all-inclusive rate based on crew size, with wrapping, basic tools, and standard furniture disassembly and reassembly included. There is a 3-hour minimum, then 15-minute steps, and the clock starts only after the crew arrives and you sign; we never charge for the drive to you. Monday through Thursday is our discounted weekday rate. California requires Double Drive Time: if the drive between your two addresses is over 15 minutes, that drive time is counted twice, and we always tell you before you book. Heavy items are priced by weight class on your written quote, and depending on the job a trip fee may apply; if it does, it shows on the quote. Long-distance moves are quoted flat from a video estimate.
For full price tables, see Moving Cost, or send two addresses and a few photos for an exact number.

Anaheim movers FAQ

-
How much do Anaheim movers cost?
Local moves are billed hourly at one all-inclusive rate based on crew size, with a 3-hour minimum. Monday through Thursday is our discounted weekday rate. California’s Double Drive Time counts the drive between your addresses twice when it runs over 15 minutes; plenty of Anaheim moves stay under that line, and either way we tell you before you book. Full price tables are on our Moving Cost page.
-
What happens if my move lands on an Angels game or a big convention?
We catch it before it catches you. When you book, we check the Angels, Ducks, and Convention Center calendars, flag any conflict on your confirmation, and steer you to an early start or a cleaner day. Game nights turn the Platinum Triangle into paid-lot-only territory, and we’d rather you never find that out the hard way.
-
Do you handle Platinum Triangle high-rise requirements?
Yes, routinely. We submit the certificate of insurance your building requires and reserve the freight elevator window in advance, then time the crew’s arrival to your exact slot.
-
My street has two-hour parking. Can you still move me?
Yes. Colony and downtown streets with posted limits need a temporary no-parking permit from the city for longer moves, and we arrange it. It just needs a couple of days of lead time, so mention your street when you book.
-
Do you move pianos, safes, and marble?
Yes, with a photo-first process: we look at the item and the access, set a safe crew size, and price heavy items by weight class on your written quote. Stairs mean staircase photos, top and bottom, and steep Anaheim Hills driveways get assessed before we confirm the plan.
-
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. USDOT 2930691, CA 501283, CAL-T 0191561, and fully insured crews on every job.
